Recovering corporate-burnout-high-performing-people-pleaser, Erin Shems brings her 29 years of creative operations, project management and producer expertise to anything she’s up against. She’s worked on some of the biggest brands known world-wide: Mortal Kombat, Mattel, Hot Wheels, Skechers, P&G, and managed accounts for the former San Diego Chargers, Sony Electronics and Upper Deck.

In 2024, she blew up her career and said, ”Bye Barbie!" to prioritize her mental health and burnout recovery. Unsure of next steps, she went back to therapy, started writing again, and decided to help make work suck less for creative/marketing teams. Founded Ezippy Co. to advocate for mental health, build human-centric processes, better relationships, navigate workplace shenanigans, and have fun at work. But deep down, she knew more could be done to fight against burnout. So, she teamed up with Tanja (and Romeo!) to combine superpowers and bring The Recess Reset to the workplace.

With more career pivots than she can count, Tanja is living proof that a linear path is overrated. Her experience spans five countries, multiple cruise ships, and too many different hats to list, all held together by one common thread: creating meaningful experiences. Eventually, she gave the “normal” 9-to-5 a try and quickly realized something important was missing: a spark. Inspired to create healthy, sustainable work environments, Tanja went back to school for a master’s in Nonprofit Leadership and Management at USD, where, to her surprise, she learned to name burnout and became a walking case study.  More fueled than ever, she doubled down, pouring energy into building systems, policies, and processes designed to support employee well-being and organizational efficiency. When life took an unexpected turn, it forced Tanja to quit her job and prioritize her mental health. Since then, she has been on a mission to reclaim her peace, redefine self-care at work, and challenge the burnout culture. Now a jeweler (career pivot #103) and wellness advocate at heart, she founded Link to bring mindful pauses into the one place we need it most: work.
