How many times can we book Recess?

 

There is no limit, although we recommend you book in advance to secure your preferred dates! Employee wellness is not a one-and-done, checked-off-the-list kind of thing. We hope the companies we partner with are serious about looking out for their team's workplace wellness and wellbeing.

 

What does each booking consist of?

 

Each booking will have a base offering; however, we offer customized packages tailored to each request.

 

IN-PERSON RECESS (up to 200 people) base offering consists of:

 

• Four (4) Recess Stations featuring games, books, puzzles, coloring activities

• Up to two (2) 30-minute facilitated sessions comprising of either chair yoga, breathwork and body scan, or a reflection exercise

PER PERSON ADD-ONS available on top of the base price:

• JOURNAL PACKAGE $15/PP: each person receives one (1) journal, one (1) pen and journal customization decorating station

• ART PROJECT $45/PP: a one-hour facilitated session with materials to complete one (1) art project to take home

• EXTRA CRAFTS: based on request

For a bigger impact on your team, we recommend a half-day or full-day experience. We will work with your organization to find what length of Recess works best. Minimum booking: 1-hour. Maximum booking: 6 hours per day (multi-day discounts available).

Customizations such as themed events for the holidays, team competitions or contests with prizes can be discussed Tanja and Erin and priced out separately

VIRTUAL RECESS (20, 40, or 60-minute virtual session) offers teams of any size an online breathwork/body scan, chair yoga and stretches, or guided reflection.

• ADD-ON OPTION: JOURNAL PACKAGE $15/PP: each person receives one (1) journal, one (1) pen

 

NOTE: Choose up to two (2) Facilitated RECESS Offerings. Additional PER PERSON option on top of the base price can still be applied, but shipped in advance of your experience (shipping and handling not included). DOES NOT INCLUDE: Self-Guided Recess Stations, Art Project and Extra Crafts.

How long is a booking?

 

Your call! Book anything from a 20-minute virtual session to one-hour, all day, or multiple days. We know how valuable workplace time is, so we start on time and work hard to reel everyone in at the end of recess! If you have a multi-day event, we offer discount pricing. Reach out to discuss.

Is this an in-person offering? 

 

We are in-person and remote depending upon your team's needs. We value the in-person gathering so let us know when you plan that next team get-together to make it even more impactful and fun for all.

Do you only serve Southern California? 

 

We primarily serve the Southern California area, including Los Angeles, San Diego, Long Beach, Anaheim, Riverside, Irvine, and Bakersfield; however, we love work trips! We’ll gladly hop on a plane. Travel expenses would be added to the total cost.

What is the benefit of Recess to my team?

 

Have you ever met anyone who didn’t come back from a vacation looking refreshed? We thought so. But, we don’t believe you have to wait all year to accumulate PTO to take a break. Recess provides a much-needed pause in the middle of a workday. In this pause, employees can step away from a challenge, rest their mind, release some stress or tension, and best of all, re-engage with a fresh perspective! 

 

Is there a group size limit?

 

We work with teams of all sizes, from just a few people to company-wide. 

 

Where is Recess?

 

Your office, an offsite meeting location, a park -- wherever you want to have it! We come to you and we bring the fun!

 

What if we don’t have an office space? 

 

For an additional cost, we can make accommodations at a local venue to host your team! 

 

We are hosting an off-site retreat. Can you bring recess to our retreat?

 

Yes! Just tell us about your venue so we know what we are working with. 

 

Do we need to provide any of our own supplies?

 

We will bring just about everything! Depending on your customized session, employees are welcomed and encouraged to bring a book, yoga mat, or any other item of their own to utilize during this time.

 

How do we need to prepare for Recess (physical space or prep for employees)?

 

We just need to know the details about the space we have. For example, do we have multiple rooms to use? One large room? Are there tables and chairs? Can we use indoor/outdoor space? We work with you to make Recess easy. 

 

Should employees dress comfortably for Recess?

 

Depending on your agenda, if it includes a full-yoga session for example, you will want to wear clothes that allow for movement and stretching comfortably.
